Here, I have produced a charcoal tree piece, which relates to the whole idea of the tree of life etc, which symbolise eternal life and I wanted mine to reflect memories and I have done so by adding labels onto it. I wanted this to be a trial of my tree video which I am planning on producing, showing what I plan to have on the tree. I hope to have labels hanging off a real tree, which people have written their memories of me onto the labels and hung them up. Whilst doing so, I will video the whole process. This is what I have produced:
This is another piece of work which I have created and this links with my final piece, as it is an oil painting which I have produced from a baby picture of myself and this links with my final piece because the picture that i've used for my final piece is a recent image, so I have shown a young/current picture, which I think reflects the whole idea of memories extremely well. This was an extremely challenging piece of work because it was my first oil painting; however it influenced my final piece a lot in terms of the materials that I will using:
This piece of work below is a piece that I created by overlapping images of myself and I have used oil pastels to create the effect of lot's of different emotions and memories being reflected at one time. I used photoshop to create the different colours that have been using within this piece and by overlapping the images, I thought it would represent the fact that I have a lot of of thoughts going on in my head which are connected to many different memories:
