More Tiles

I have produced some more tiles for my final piece and there are many more currently being made. 

I have fired some to test how they turned out and they have worked extremely well. I fired up the kiln to 1000 degrees and allowed them to cool down over a few days.

The next step now is to test these tiles that I fired with different glazes to see which I prefer.

Adding Writing Into The Tiles

These are all of the tiles that I have written it to so far and now I just need to make some more tiles and get some more writing done. I was able to write into the tiles neatly with stencils and this did change my plan slightly, as I wanted to write in more than just one word into each tile; however I think these look really good and give more of an effective to each memory as you can focus on one word at a time, all linking to different memories. I am pleased with how they have all turned out and now I will keep you posted with the ones I make next!
