As you can see from the pictures below, I have finished blocking in the main colours in the hair and all I need to do now is add the shirt in, add in the fringe and also the highlights and fine detail throughout the hair. Now that the main blocks of colour are in, this will make it easier when I start the highlights as there is already a base coat down.
Here, I have started to add in the fine details for the highlights by using fine brushes whilst still wet, I used a large dry brush to follow the direction of the hair in the photograph and blend the colours across the rest of the hair to create a more realistic effect.
As you can see, I am starting to add in the fringe, again using a fine brush and following the correct hair direction from the photograph to ensure that it is realistic enough.
The highlights within the hair are coming along nicely and I have added in some more which you can in the picture above, so I am now halfway through one side of the hair, so I will continue to take my time and add in my highlights for the rest of the hair.
