As I explained in my previous blog post, I have started to add more highlights in by using sting that has been dipped in a runny oil paint, which I watered down with white spirit. This was inspired by Peter Doig's work.
This has given the hair a more 'abstract' effect/look and it has taken the seriousness away from the painting which is quite nice as it works well. The fineness of the string has allowed me to get the right width for the highlights as I didn't have a brush fine enough to do so. This has been a great idea overall and I will continue with this throughout the next coming days.
