Before we broke up for the Christmas holidays, I dusted the remainder of my tiles with iron oxide to pick out the detail of the writing and the label outline, before pouring a clear glaze over them.
After I did this, they were all ready to go into the kiln to be fired and they should be done for when I get back on Monday.
I know need to locate a large piece of wood that I can use to fix my tiles and my oil painting onto, to then place in the middle of my fireplace.
Above is a picture of the remainder of my tiles all dripping in glaze ready to be fired, enabling me to continue onto the next stage of my final piece - cementing my tiles and oil painting on to wood.
